They're Off

We kicked off this years Rally at about 1:45. 

5 teams are running this year.

Defending Champs Team Verban, The Kreckies, Big Hair Spray (wearing 80's theme garb), Feta Rally and Two Men and A Baby...

We're using the theme of "Back To School". All stops have a "school" or educational theme.
And then there's the Bronze Fonz...thrown in for fun.

The 2012 Edition of the Krecklow Road Rally is this Saturday, November 10. 

The course this year will follow a particular theme and we won't be providing addresses for the landmarks. Make sure you've got smart phones (or smart people) with you in the vehicles.

Planning has begun

This year's Krecklow Road Rally is on for Saturday November 10th. We kick it off at 1:00pm sharp. Don't be late.

This year we are starting a new tradition of having each stop relate to an overall theme. Riders won't know what the theme is until they grab the first envelope at the start of the Rally. Planning has begun and this year's Rally will challenge the participants more than last.

Alright the date is set for this year's Krecklow Road Rally. Saturday November 10 at 1:30pm. Mark it down people!

Banana Monkey's: Last Place..."There's always Dodgeball" Award. Not everyone Monkey was

happy with this finish.

Where are the Krecks? And why is Mike writing a "thesis" on a Saturday night? Guzzler?

"The Krecks" failed to finish with a trophy despite running a quick race. After the stunning defeat, head Kreck Dan Krecklow demonstrates his toughness by lighting his smoke from the flame of the outdoor fireplace. Early odds for 2012 has "The Krecks" as the favorites as they discuss retooling their gameplan.

Results are in...

Here are the results of this years rally. It was a hard fought race and it seems that brains won over brawn, in other words....you missed some stops/questions...you lose.

Vegas had favored "The Krecks" to pull this one out, in fact the early line had them as 2:1 favorites over the defending champs, VerbVan who were coming in at 5:1. Seems that the oddsmakers were banking on the passion that "The Krecks" showed last year would pull them through this year. And the "VerbVan" were looking like a one-hit wonder. But that's why we run the race.

7. Banana Monkey's Failed to finish within 3.5 hours. But got some Dodgeball for their efforts.

It was a hard battle this year and no one saw the ending. It turns out that the "Guzzler Rule" came into play. That is you skip a question, you lose time and in the end that was the difference.

There was some post-Rally discussion about trading riders for next year and The Verbs two year run might be coming to an end. Much like the Yankees of 1976-1978, all good things have to come to an end, and it seems it might be true of The Verbs as well.

Rydlewicz and Peters, we welcome you back next fall, but you'll have your work cut out for you. These young turks have Smart Phones and stamina. And the Guzz has a phony hip. Good luck old man, see you next year.
